Assistance services for coronavirus patients launched in Khulna

KHULNA, April 19, 2021 (BSS) – Khulna district administration today launched a new digital system-based home to home assistance services for coronavirus patients to provide them proper treatment, logistic support and other humanitarian support.

Lawmaker of Khulna-2 constituency Sheikh Salahuddin Zewel virtually inaugurated the service namely ‘Home to Home Assistance to Covid-19 patients through Digital System.’

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khleque addressed the event held at the deputy commissioner’s conference room as chief guest with DC Md Helal Hossain in the chair.

Aiming to provide humanitarian assistance, treatment and logistic support to the coronavirus patients, the district administration has taken this innovative initiative with the help of KCC, Zila Parishad, Khulna Shishu Hospital and department of health.

In the digital system, coronavirus patients or their relatives have to send their name, address and mobile number through SMS or e-mail address for completing registration. The mobile numbers for registration are -01794701555, 01794611555, 01709319769 and 01730324797 and e-mail address [email protected]

Registered coronavirus patients will get physicians advice, telemedicine facilities and shifting covid patients to hospitals with ambulance facilities, logistic support and follow up treatment and to preserve treatment information in a digital database.

Khulna divisional commissioner Md Ismail Hossain, Director of Khulna Medical College Hospital A T M Monjur Morshed, Vice-Principal of Khulna Medical College Dr Mehedi Newaz, Khulna Press Club President S M Zahid Hossain and Khulna Journalist Union President Mahbub Alam Sohag, among others, addressed the event.
