PBI submits charge sheet against 43 in its ex-Ameer Ahmed Shafi’s death
CHATTOGRAM, April 12, 2021 (BSS) – The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) on Monday submitted an investigation report against 43 people including incumbent Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Junaid Babunagari for the death of its former Ameer Shah Ahmad Shafi in 2020.
PBI Inspector and investigation officer of the case Monir Hossain submitted the investigation report to the concerned general recording department of Chattogram court today, court officials said.
The investigator, however, did not find involvement of Hefazat’s joint secretary Mamunul Hoque and four other people named in the case, officials said.
Nazmul Hasan, superintendent of PBI Chattogram district, told BSS that they submitted the investigation report of the case filed over the death of former Hefazat-e-Islam ameer Shah Ahmad Shafi to the court on Monday.
Mohammad Mainuddin Ruhi, brother-in-law of Shafi, filed the murder case in Chattogram court against 36 people on December 17, 2020.
