Winning start for Narail in women’s hockey

DHAKA, Apr 4, 2021 (BSS)- Narail district made a winning start beating Dinajpur district by 5-1 goals in the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games women’s hockey that began today at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.

In the day’s match, Nomita Kormokar and Sadia Khanom struck twice each while Lima Khatun supported them with a lone goal to secure Narail’s victory on the day. Arpita Paul scored the lone goal for Dinajpur.

Earlier, in the day’s first match, Jhenaidah district split points with Kishorganj district when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw.

In the proceeding, Juairiya Ferdous Joyti put Jhenaidah ahead in the 32nd minute while Fardia Akter Ratri restored the parity for Kishorganj in the 47th minute of the match.
