Bangabandhu, inspiration to freedom of oppressed: Murad Hasan

DHAKA, March 23, 2021(BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan today said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the eternal inspiration to freedom of oppressed all over the world.

“Bangabandhu taught a nation what self-worth is, taught them how to protest, and inspired them to fight for rights. He is the symbol of freedom of independence,” he told a discussion organized by Bangabandhu Academy marking Bangabandhu’s birth centenary and golden jubilee of independence at the Institute of Diploma Engineers in the city, said a release.

He said that people of the country should not only remember him but also practice his beliefs, philosophy and ideologies to materialize his dreams for the country.

“Following the path directed by Bangabandhu, the present government under the leadership of his successful successor Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made unprecedented progress in the economic and social fields Which is being acclaimed worldwide,” Murad said.

“If this trend of development continues, Bangladesh will become a developed country by 2041,” he said.

Former general secretary of Dhaka City Awami League (South) Shah Alam Murad, Awami League leader Adv. Balram Poddar, Krishak League leader MA Karim, Bangabandhu Research Council President Lion Gani Mia Babul, journalist Manik Lal Ghosh, among others, spoke at the discussion.
