Bangladesh Police take solo lead after 4th round

DHHHAKA, March 22, 2021 (BSS) – Reigning champions Bangladesh Police now took solo lead in the points table with maximum eight points after fourth round matches of “Mujib Barsho” Premier Division Chess League now being held Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.

SAIF Sporting Club following the leader with six points out of three matches. In the day’s fourth round matches held today with Bangladesh Police beat Titas Club by 3.5-0.5 game points.

GM Surya Sekhar Ganguly of Bangladesh Police split point with GM Erigaisi Arjun of Titas Club. SAIF Sporting Club beat Sheikh Russel Chess Club by b 3-1 game points. Bangladesh Biman beat Bangladesh Navy by 3-1 game points.

FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed and FM Khandaker Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Navy split point with Indian GM Neelotal Das and GM Enamul Hossain Razib of Bangladesh Biman respectively.

Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club beat Uttara Central Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game points.

IM Mitrabha Guha of Uttara Central Chess Club won against Sabyasachi Mandal of Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club.

Dewan Shahidul Amin of Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club split point with Abu Hanif of Uttara Central Chess Club. Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society split point with Leonine Chess Club by 2-2 game points.

The fifth round matches begin tomorrow (Tuesday) from 3 pm at same venue.
