‘Mujib 100’ is the app for next generation: Palak

DHAKA, Mar 14, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak today inaugurated the ‘Mujib 100’ app, an initiative of the ICT Department, to showcase the history of Bangabandhu’s philosophy and life of struggle among future generations.

“One of the aims of this app is to give a detailed idea about the life and works of Bangabandhu to the present and future generations of the country,” the state minister said during the virtual inauguration, said a press release.

The State Minister for ICT said that through this app, the youth will be inspired to read various quotes made from the perception of Bangabandhu’s political and personal life, and will get to know about the great leader closely.

“The app has been created with the content of all the speeches given and books and letters written by Bangabandhu , documentaries and a historical timeline called Bangabandhu Pratidin, which will show various events of Bangabandhu’s life,” Palak added.

The state minister also said that a photo archive has been created with pictures of different periods of Bangabandhu’s life, and through the app’s ‘Events’ feature, updates on various celebrations of Mujib’s centenary can be found.

“The app is highly recommended for those who want to do research on Bangabandhu,” Palak said.

The state minister then called upon all the youth to follow Bangabandhu’s life style and apply it in their own lives to fulfill his dream of establishing Sonar Bangla.

The inaugural function was conducted by Anwarul Islam, Director, Mobile Game and Application Development Project and Dr.Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Additional Secretary, Planning and Development Division, Information and Communication Technology Department.

On the occasion of Mujib Year, a website named mujib100.gov.bd was created at the initiative of the Department of Information and Communication Technology. The ‘Mujib 100’ app is the mobile version of this website.
It was created under the Department of Information and Communication Technology’s ‘Mobile Game and Application Skills Development Project’.
