RAJSHAHI, March 5, 2021 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in three
separate anti-crime drives, arrested five alleged drug peddlers with
phensidyl and ganja in the district last night.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in
Mohishalbari Rail Bazar area under Godagari Upazila and arrested Rajesh
Mithun, 32, Tofayel Ahmed, 31, Selim Reja, 38, with six bottles of phensedyl
at 9.40 pm red-handed, RAB sources said today.
Another RAB team arrested Ruhul Amin, 26, with 500 grams of ganja after
conducting a raid in Gopalpur area under the same upazila around 10.15 pm.
In another drive conducted in Sonadighi area under the same upazila,
another RAB team arrested Sujan Ali, 20, with eight bottles of phensedyl
around 9.25 pm, sources added.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized contraband goods were
handed over to police.
Three separate cases were filed in these connections.
