BNS Prottoy leaves for NAVDEX-2021

DHAKA, Feb 6, 2021 (BSS) – The BNS Prottoy, a type-56 stealth
surface warfare guided missile corvette of Bangladesh Navy (BN), left
Chittagong port today to take part in naval defence and maritime
security exhibition (NAVDEX)-2021 to be held at United Arad Emirates
from February 25-March 2.

Commander BN Fleet Rear Admiral S M Abul Kalam Azad and other
senior officers saw off the BNS Prottoy, said a press release.

The international expo is organized by IDEX LLC (an Abu Dhabi
National Exhibitions Company Group Company) in association with the
UAE Armed Forces.

Captain Captain Ahmed Amin Abdullah is leading the 136-member crew
of the ship. The BNS Prottoy is expected to return home on March 13.

NAVDEX provides a dedicated and focused platform for international
naval defence and maritime security companies to showcase their
technologies and services to an international audience.

It is a unique opportunity to promote the latest naval, maritime
and coastal security technology, equipment and crafts, the release
added.
