JS Speaker mourns death of Prof Mahmuda Begum
DHAKA, Feb 2, 2021 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin
Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the
death of Professor Mahmuda Begum, wife of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina’s personal physician Dr ABM Abdullah.
In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the
departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Besides, Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad M Fazley Rabbi Miah
and Chief Whip Nur-E Alam Chowdhury condoled the death of Professor
Mahmuda Begum.
In separate other condolence messages, Deputy Leader of the
Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and State Minister for Culture
Affairs KM Khalid also expressed profound shock and sorrow at the
death of Professor Mahmuda Begum.
Mahmuda Begum breathed her last at 2.35 pm while undergoing
treatment at a city hospital.
