KUSHTIA, Jan 30, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) joint general
secretary Mahabub-ul-Alam Hanif, MP, said today BNP will have to bear
the responsibility of Papul as the allegations of corruption,
including earning of money, against Papul were during the BNP regime.

“Papul is not a member of the ruling party but an independent
lawmaker. And the allegations of corruption, including earning of
money, had been raised against Papul were happened during the BNP’s
tenure,” he said.

“If there is any allegation against him (Papul), BNP have to bear
the responsibility,” he said these while responding to a question of
newsmen at his Kushtia residence on PTI Road this afternoon.

Replying to another query, he said, “There was no corruption in the
Padma Bridge and it had been proved by an international court. This is
a fictitious allegation of BNP.”

It had been proved that BNP was behind this fictitious allegation as
they (BNP) were talking about it.

About the ongoing elections, he said that BNP took part in the
elections to make the election commission system controversial in a
planned way.

Hanif also said during the voting it is seen that neither they have
polling agents nor voters.

“And it is natural that the administration will play a neutral role
while maintain law and order during the polls. If the BNP terrorists
carry out sabotage acts in the name of voting, the law enforcement
agencies will take action,” he added.
