Panchagarh-Cox’s Bazar rail link within 2022: Sujon
PANCHAGARH, Jan 24, 2021 (BSS) – Railways Minister Advocate Nurul Islam Sujon said rail communication from Panchagarh to Cox’s Bazar will be opened within 2022 which will create a new horizon in terms of communication as well as economic.
“An economic door will be opened if the rail communication start…about 200 luggage vans have been connected to the rail link,” he said while speaking at a programme at Sirajul Islam rail station here.
Lalmonirhat railway division arranged the programme. Mihir Kanti Guho, director general of west zone of Bangladesh railway, presided over the meeting. Md, Sumshuzzaman, director general of Bangladesh railway, addressed the function as special guest.
Project director Mijanur Rahman, additional district magistrate Sarker Mohammod Rayhan, police super Yousuf Ali, divisional manager of Lalmonirhat railway Sufi Nur, zila parishad chairman Anower Sadat Samrat and Panchagarh chamber commerce and industry president Sarif Hossein addressed the event.
