Cumilla day labour gets house as PM’s gift on Mujib Barsho
CUMILLA (South), Jan 23, 2021, (BSS) – On the occasion of “Mujib Barsho”, the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, day laborer Halim received a house as a gift from the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the houses handing over ceremony across the country virtually today.
Selima Ahmad Meri, MP of Comilla-2 (Homna-Titas) constituency handed over a house along with all documents in first phase as a gift from the Prime Minister to Halim of Dwarigaon village of Mathabhanga union of Homna Upazila Parishad in the district.
Upazila Chairman Rehana Begum, Vice-Chairman Mahasin Sarkar, Women Vice Chairman Nasima Akter Reena, Upazila Land Officer Tania Bhuiyan and OC Md. Abul Kayes Akand were present.
In the first phase, 129 homeless and landless families already got houses and 33 landless and homeless families will get houses in second phase.
