3 teams share lead in “Mujib Barsho” chess league

DHAKA, Jan 22, 2021 (BSS) – Three teams are sharing lead in the
points table with maximum six points after the third round matches of
the “Mujib Barsho” in the Second Division Chess League which is being
held at National Sports Council (NSC) tower auditorium lounge in the
city.

The three are: Shahnoor Khan Smirity Sangsad, Sports Bangla and BD
Chess School. Four teams are sharing the second positions with five
points.

The four teams are legend Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain Chess team, Elegant
International Chess Academy (Elite), Latif Travels Chess Club, Sylhet
and Crescent Club.

In the day’s third round matches held today, with Shanoor Khan
Smirity Sangsad beat Grass root Sports Academy by 3-1 game points,
Sports Bangla beat Bangladesh Police Prime team 4-0 game points, BD
Chess In School beat Abu Said Chess Club by 3.5-0.5 game points,
Elegant International Chess Academy (Elite) split point with Legend
Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain Chess team by 2-2 game points,

Latif Travels Chess Club, Sylhet beat Tangail Chess Club by 3-1
game points, Crescent Club beat Nakahapara Jubo Kallyan Sangah by
2.5-1.5 game points, Mohammadpur Chess Club beat Sonirakhra Chess Club
by 3-1 game points, Sohel Smirity Sangsad beat Pin Chess Club by 3-1
game points, Youngster Chess Club beat JU Chess Teamby 3-1 game
points, Bangladesh Police Crown Team split point with Dabar Troyi

The fourth round matches start tomorrow (Saturday) from 3 pm at the
