AL candidate urges all to work together for victory of ‘boat’ in CCC polls
CHATTOGRAN, Jan 19, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) nominated mayoral candidate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury today said everyone must work together to ensure the victory of ‘boat’ symbol in the upcoming Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) election.
He made the call while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting with activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from different universities here this afternoon.
ASM Ragib Ahsan Munna, organizing secretary of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) unit BCL, presided over the meeting at Rezaul Karim Chowdhury’s main election office in the city.
Cultural Affairs Secretary of KUET Chhatra League Apurba Das, its Joint Secretary, Kaushik Pal, BCL leaders Shahadat Islam, Kazi Mohammad, Ayaz Uddin, Dhaka University BCL leaders Abdullah AL Noman and Soumitra Ghosh, among others, addressed the function.
The BCL leaders said that Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has shown great farsightedness and wisdom by nominating a worthy leader like Rezaul Karim Chowdhury for the mayoral election.
Terming Chattogram as the birthplace of heroism and independence, they said the Prime Minister is implementing 10 mega projects in Chattogram on a priority basis.
They hoped that freedom fighter and city AL Joint Secretary Rezaul Karim Chowdhury would be able to turn the commercial capital Chattogram into a world class city with his honesty, sincerity and competence.
