DHAKA, Jan 16, 2021 (BSS) – Fisheries and Livestock Minister S M Rezaul Karim today said Sheikh Hasina is the Chief of development-friendly government and thus no one in the past like Sheik Hasina has developed in communication system in Bangladesh.
The minister said this while speaking as chief guest at a gathering on development issues including the inauguration of a new ferry at the Sriramkathi-Bharatkathi crossing on the Kaliganga River at Sriramkathi in Nazirpur, Pirojpur.
‘Sheikh Hasina has built the long cherished Padma Bridge with own money and is constructing the tunnel under the river Karnafuli’, he said.
“She has made the Payra and Mongla sea ports , Matarbari deep sea Pirojpur and huge projects like construction of University of Science and Technology, Economic zones, polytechnics, textile technology institutes, housing are on and her tempo of development touched all regions of Pirojpur,” he added.
Earlier, foundation stone was laid for construction of 120 metre long RCC cum steel bridge on Baleshwar river on Nazirpur Headquarters-Baithakata road (Kalibari-Nazirpur), construction of 20 metre RCC girder under construction of Sri Ramkathi UP-Satkachima Hat Bhimkathi canal and construction of 20 metre RCC girder bridge.
The Minister also inaugurated the new ferry service on Kaliganga – Daihari route.
