GOPALGANJ, Jan 14, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Faruq today paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara of Gopalganj.
He paid the homage by placing a floral wreath at the mazar of the Father of the Nation around 11 am.
After paying the wreath, he joined a special munajat, seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu as well as other martyrs of August 15.
Director General of Water Development Board Waheduddin Chowdhury, Chief Engineer Abdul Hekim, Caretaker Engineer Syed Shohidul Haque, Additional Police Super Abdullah Al Masud, Tungipara municipality Mayor Tozammel Haque Tutul, Upazila Chairman Solaiman Biswas and the General Secretary of Upazila AL Md Babul Sheikh were present, among others.
