DHAKA, Jan 11, 2021 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said the process of admitting students to schools across the country through lottery system will create a scope for all types of students.

“The government has taken decision that admission from 1st grade to 9th grade to government and non-government schools will be taken through lottery system…admission through lottery system will create opportunity for all types of students,” she said while inaugurating the lottery-system admission process at International Mother Language Institute here.

She said many private and recently nationalised schools have completed the admission process following the admission policies given by the ministry of education.

The lottery programme in government secondary schools will be held at 390 government schools across the country, she said, adding that it (the lottery process) will initially be held at different schools in the capital. Later, the process will begin in district and upazila level schools in phases.
