Amu mourns death of Jahangir Hossain
DHAKA, Dec 24, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League Advisory Council Member
and central 14-party alliance spokesperson Amir Hossain Amu today
expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of AL Central Working
Committee member and former state minister as well as lawmaker AKM
Jahangir Hossain.
In a condolence message, he recalled the contributions of Jahangir
to the party’s struggle and movement during the crisis period and in
establishing the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman.
The veteran AL leader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul
and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Jahangir Hossain, also former general secretary of Bangladesh
Chhatra League, passed away today while undergoing treatment at
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) in the
city at 66.
