Training imparted to supply workers in int.labor market : Imran

DHAKA, Dec 23, 2020 (BSS)- Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed today said training is being imparted to provide skilled workers in the international labor market after the global pandemic Covid-19.

He said, “Various initiatives have been taken by the ministry for the welfare of expatriate workers and their families during the coronavirus pandemic and more initiatives will be taken in future.”

He was speaking as the chief guest at an exchange of views meeting on partner services and activities organized by Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) on the occasion of International Migrants Day 2020 at Prabasi Kalyan Bhaban, said Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry press release here today.

He further said a specialized Technical Training Centre (TTC) is being set up at Singair upazila in Manikganj with the aim of creating modern and practical skilled workers.

Noting that the joint efforts of all the stakeholders are very important for the development of the immigration sector, Imran called upon all the stakeholders concerned to come forward for the development of the immigration sector.

President of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) Benazir Ahmed, MP and Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Dr. Ahmed Munirush Salehin spoke as special guests at the meeting.
