JASHORE, Dec 21,2020 (BSS)- Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged gold smuggler with 2.334 kilograms of gold bars worth TK 1.63 crore from Jashore municipality area this morning.
Acting on secret information, a special mobile team of BGB 49th Battalion conducted a drive in the area and arrested a man with 20 gold bars found in his body, said a press release.
The arrestee was identified as Md. Emadul Hossain, 26, son of Md. Aslam Hossain of Kagozpur village under Benapol port thana in Jashore district, said Mohammad Faruk Hossain Assistant director of BGB- 49 battalion.
A case was filed in this connection.
