Extremists, communal clutches conspire to destabilize the country: Murad

DHAKA, Dec 21, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan today said the extremist militant outfits are conspiring to destabilize the country in a planned way in the name of removing sculptures.

“When the country is marching forward with massive development under the leadership of PM Sheikh Hasina and the development of Bangladesh is being acclaimed globally some religion based businessmen extremist groups are out to resort anarchy but the people of the country must foil their evil design,”

He said this while addressing a discussion meeting on “ The Great Victory Day 2020 and Ongoing Politics at the VIP lounge of the National Press Club.

Speaking about assassination of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members on August 15, 1975, the minister said the killers and colluders involved in the grisly incident should be brought to justice and he pleaded for formation of an independent commission to this end. “

He called upon all to strive hard by upholding the ideals of Bangabandhu and the spirit of the war of liberation struggle of 1971

Organized by Bangabandhu Academy, its President Mohammad Nazmul Haque chaired the discussion meeting.

Former General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Dhaka Metropolitan South Shah Alam Murad, Central President of Bangabandhu Research Council, Lion Mohammad Gani Mia Babul, Former General Secretary of Bangladesh Krishak League Advocate Khandaker Shamsul Haque Reza, Dhaka Former Joint General Secretary of the metropolitan Awami League Kamal Chowdhury and central executive member of the Bangladesh Awami Juba League journalist Manik Lal Ghosh, among others participated in the discussion.
