DHAKA, Dec 17, 2020 (BSS) – Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa
Jabbar has said the defeated forces of the Liberation War are still hatching
conspiracies against the country as they could not accept Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“They must remember that Bangabandhu means Bangladesh,” the minister said
after placing a wreath at Agargaon post office in the city, marking the
Victory Day, said a press release.

“Many people could not even think that Bengalis would be able to fight and
establish an independent Bangladesh. But because Bangabandhu, it was possible
to establish an independent state for Bengalis within nine months by
defeating one of the world’s superpowers that astonished the entire world,”
he said.

The minister said the success of the post and telecommunication in
building a highway to establish a digital Bangladesh would also accelerate
the progress of building a prosperous Bangladesh.

“These are possible because of the establishment of a knowledge-based
digital society by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications Mohammad Afzal
Hossain presided over the function and Additional Director General of
Department of Posts Harunur Rashid conducted the presentation.
