DHAKA, Dec 15, 2020 (BSS) – Local Government, Rural Development and
Cooperatives Minister and Detailed Area Plan (DAP) convener Md Tajul
Islam today said final decision on implementation of DAP would be
taken in consultation with the city corporations and their views.
After exchanging views with members of the Bangladesh Institute of
Planners on the DAP, he stated this at a press conference held at the
conference room of the Local Government Division here.
City corporations can play a key role towards implementation of the
DAP adopted for development of the capital, he said.
“So the work will be done by including the city corporation. We
have to move forward together to reach our desired goal,” he added.
Helaluddin Ahmed, senior secretary of the local government division
and DAP project director and Bangladesh Institute of Planners
president Professor Akhtar Mahmud were present, among others, on the
occasion.
