LAXMIPUR, Dec 12, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury today said the Padma Bridge is visible now under the worthy leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina putting an end to all conspiracies.
“This (Padma Bridge) has been possible because the premier Sheikh Hasina is in charge of the wheel of the country today. Bangladesh has gone to a place of dignity. This place of dignity must be retained. The people of Bangladesh must be united under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina,” he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the 25-kilometer excavation work of the Dhaka-Laxmipur waterway in the Maju-Chowdhury area of Laxmipur here.
Laxmipur-3 Lawmaker AKM Shahjahan Kamal, Shipping Ministry Joint-Secretary (Planning) Rafique Ahmed Siddique, Deputy Commissioner Anjan Chandra Pal, Superintendent of Police Dr AHM Kamruzzaman, District Awami League President Mohammad Golam Faruque Pinku and General Secretary Nur Uddin Chowdhury Nayan.
Chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Commodore Golam Sadeq presided over the programme.
