TANGAIL, Dec 8, 2020 (BSS) – At least five people were killed and two
others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a pick-up van at
Garinda bypass area here this morning.
The deceased were identified as Babul, Sobhan, Bulbul, Riyadh and
Nazrul.
“The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Tangail highway when a Dhaka-bound
vegetable laden truck collided head-on with a pick-up van,”said Abdul Jalil,
deputy assistant director of Tangail Fire Service.
Four people who were sleeping on the pick-up died instantly on the spot
and three others including the pick-up van driver were injured.
The injured were sent to Tangail General Hospital where the duty doctor
declared the pick-up van driver dead.
