DHAKA, Dec 6, 2020 (BSS) – A writ petition was filed with the High Court today, pleading for its directives to ensure protection of all the sculptures across the country.
The petition also sought direction for taking appropriate measures to stop any kind of untoward incidents and deterioration of law and order situation.
Supreme Court lawyer advocate Uttam Lahiri filed the writ, and also pleaded for directions to raise awareness to erase any kind of confusion in the public mind regarding the sculpture.
Six officials concerned including Home Affairs Secretary and Liberation War Affairs Secretary were made respondents in the writ.
