JAMALPUR, Dec 4, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hassan today urged the country’s youth to be inspired with the spirit of the 1971 Liberation War.
“The way our predecessors sacrificed their lives in 1971 to keep the radiant flame of patriotism and humanity active, today’s youth should be inspired with that spirit, and work for the welfare of the people and service to the country,” he said.
The state minister was speaking at a function at Sarishabari Upazila Health Complex auditorium in Jamalpur this morning.
Addressing as the chief guest, he said the whole world is now in trouble due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and “we should stand by people amid the COVID-19 crisis”.
Sarisabari Upazila chairman Gias Uddin Pathan, deputy director of Family Planning Department in Jamalpur Sajda-e-Jannat and Sarishabari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sihab Uddin Ahmed, among others, spoke at the function.
