DHAKA, Dec 2, 2020 (BSS) – A meeting of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee was held on Tuesday evening to formulate various programme for 10 days from March 17 to March 26, 2021.
Chairman of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee Professor Rafiqul Islam presided over the virtual meeting while Chief Coordinator of the committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury moderated it, said a press release today.
In his welcome speech, Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury informed that as per the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, various programmes are being taken to celebrate the birth centenary from March 17 to March 26, 2021.
The draft programmes were presented at the meeting. The members of the committee took part in the discussion and gave important opinions regarding the programmes.
Among others, former Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Former Minister Asaduzzaman Nur, Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi, Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafes Osman, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain, State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid and Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury (Nowfel) joined the meeting.
