Around six hundred students and teachers of disabled schools from different districts under the banner of ‘Bangladesh Protibondhi Biddaloyer Sangathon’ gathered in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh around 10:00am and held a sit-in program till 1:30 pm.

They said they would continue their sit-in programme until their demands are met.

Their other demands include – introducing food-friendly programmes, providing sufficient education materials and building a modern academic building with advanced technology facilities.

President of the organisation Nasir Uddin Rasel said over the last 8-10 years, schools with disabilities have been plagued with various problems for not having recognition.

He said more than sixty thousand teachers and employees of the schools have been passing a hard and miserable life for not getting payments.
