National football team lose again in 2nd practice match

DHAKA, Nov 29, 2020 (BSS)- Bangladesh national football team lost again as they suffered a solitary goal defeat to Lusail Sports Club of Qatar in the second practice match held on Saturday evening at Aziziyah Boutique (super club, pitch-1), in Doha, Qatar, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation.

The Lusail Sports Club dominated the first half by taking 1-0 lead which they maintained till the final whistle.

In the day’s match, Saoud Ali Abdallah scored the decisive goal for Lusail in the 24th minute of the match.

After the resumption, Bangladesh tried heart and soul to restore the parity but could not convert those lacks of proper finishing.

Earlier, Bangladesh lost to Qatar Military football team by 3-2 goals in their first practice match held on Wednesday last.

After the match, team manager Amer Khan said in this match team’s combination was needed to see rather than defeat before the qualifying round match against Qatar.

The team manager said they have also something to learn from the goal which they conceded in the day’s match. Overall they have been able to make the team ready through these two practice matches for December 4 match against Qatar, Amer added.

Earlier, the Jamal Bhuyan and Co. lost their FIFA World Cup qualifying round home match against Qatar by 2-0 goals.
