Farhad for building inclusive public administration

DHAKA, Nov 24, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Public
Administration Farhad Hossain today called for building an inclusive
and accountable public administration to survive in the competitive
age.

“In the current age of globalization, we have to regularly face
various challenges. An efficient, inclusive and accountable public
administration must be built to survive successfully in this world
overcoming those challenges,” he said.

The state minister made the remarks while presenting a keynote
paper in a virtual symposium organized by the Department of Economic
and Social Affairs (DESA) of the United Nations (UN) and Interior and
Safety Ministry of South Korea, said a press release.

Noting that Bangladesh has already proved itself by tackling various
national and international challenges, Farhad said, under the
leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Awami League
government is working to make Bangladesh a developed country by 2041
and consolidate the democratic governance by ensuring free flow of
information.

Former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon addressed the symposium as
the special guest.

Interior and Safety Minister of South Korea Chin Young, Under
Secretary General of UN DESA Liu Zenmin and Mayor of Incheon
Metropolitan City Park, Nam-chun, addressed the event, among others.
