DHAKA, Nov 12, 2020 (BSS) – The government has extended the ongoing closure of all educational institutions across the country till December 19, aiming to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.
A statement signed by Mohammad Abul Khair, public relations officer of the Education Ministry, today said considering the overall safety of the students all educational institutions across the country will remain closed till December 19.
However, the classes through Sangsad Television, and online education and assessment of assignments will continue using digital platforms during the closure, said the statement.
Earlier, the government extended the closure of all educational institutions across the country till November 14.
All educational institutions across the country have remained closed since March 17 following detection of the first Covid-19 case on March 8.
