“We are facing a tough time amid the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic situation at present. There is no alternative to a concerted effort to cope with the ever-highest devastating situation,” he added.

The state minister revealed this while addressing the district law and order committee meeting at the office conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) today as chief guest with DC Abdul Jalil in the chair.

Shahriar Alam said the present government has been working relentlessly to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic situation besides taking precautionary measures to face its possible second wave.

All the government and non-government development entities, public representatives and members of the civil society should come forward and work together to supplement the government effort of taking the nation forward through coping with adverse situations.

Expressing his grave concern over the indiscriminate excavation of ponds in farming lands in Rajshahi he said the present tendency should be addressed strictly.
