ACC lodges cases against 14 Rajshahi education board people

RAJSHAHI, Sept 23, 2020 (BSS)- Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed cases against 14 officials, employees and contractors of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Rajshahi including its former chairman and secretary.

Al Amin, Assistant Director of ACC’s Rajshahi Integrated District Office, lodged three cases against all of them including former chairman Prof Abul Kalam Azad and former secretary Prof Anraul Haque Pramanik with its office saying they have committed punishable offense in collaboration with each other.

In his case document, Al Amin brought nine allegations of misappropriating a total of Taka 18,44,831 against them saying they misappropriated the entire money in the name of nine works like maintenance, renovation and construction of different infrastructures of the board from 2015-16 to 2017-18 financial years.

Other accused of the case are: Deputy Secretaries (Store) Selina Parveen and Nesar Uddin Ahmed, Security Officer Golam Sarwar, Assistant Programmer Farman Ali, Assistant Controller of Examinations Jahirul Haque, Data Entry Control Operator Ajahar Ali and Contractors Shawkat Ali, Israfil Hossain, Raoshan Alam and Ripon Roy.
