Outgoing PSC chairman pays farewell call on President

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2020 (BSS) – Outgoing Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Dr Mohammed Sadique today made a farewell call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here.

The Chairman expressed gratitude to the President for his cooperation in discharging duties, and apprised him of various activities taken by the BPSC during his tenure, President’s press secretary JoynalAbedin told BSS after the meeting.

The head of the state thanked the PSC chairman for discharging his duties cordially and efficiently.

Terming the PSC as a prestigious organisation, President Hamid praised various steps taken by the chairman to uphold its image.

The President hoped that the positive changes done at PSC during his tenure would also help activities of the organisation in future.

Secretary to the President Sampad Barua, military secretary Major General SM Shamim-Uz-Zaman, press secretary Md JoynalAbedin and secretary (attached) Md Wahidul Islam Khan were also present.

Now the Education Ministry’s secretary Md Sohrab Hossain will replace Dr Sadique as the new chairman of Bangladesh Public Service Commission.

Hossain will remain at the post either for the next five years or until he turns 65.
