DSCC fines four house owners Tk 45,000
Dhaka, Sept 1, 2020 (BSS) – A mobile court of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) today fined four house owners Tk 45,000 after filing cases against them for having Aedes mosquito grounds at their establishments.
A total of 46 installations have been inspected on the tenth day of the ongoing combing operation conducted to identify the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes in the DSCC area.
Two mobile courts of DSCC conducted inspection in Hatirpul and Paribagh areas of Ward No. 21 in Zone-1 and Shahjahanpur area of Ward No. 11 in Zone-2, said a press release.
Executive Magistrate Mohammad Kazi Faisal in Zone-1 and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Nazmul Ahsan in Zone-2 conducted the mobile courts.
The mobile court visited 32 installations in Zone-1. At that time, Executive Magistrate Mohammad Kazi Faisal filed 3 cases and collected a fine of Tk 25,000 for having Aedes mosquito breeding grounds in three establishments.
Another mobile court visited 14 installations in Zone-2. During the inspection, Aedes mosquito breeding grounds were found in one installation.
Mohammad Nazmul Ahsan, executive magistrate of the mobile court in Zone-2, filed a case and imposed a fine of Tk 20,000.
