BCSA distributes relief goods in Gangachara, Kawnia upazilas

RANGPUR, Aug 31, 2017 (BSS) – Rangpur district unit of Bangladesh Cold Storage Association (BCSA) today distributed huge relief materials among 600 flood-affected people of Gangachara and Kawnia upazilas in the district.

Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) extended assistance to BCSA for distributing relief materials at two separate ceremonies, a press release said.

Each of the 600 flood-hit families received five-kilogram rice, 10- kilogram potato, one-kilogram sugar, one-kilogram vermicelli, 70-gram powdered milk and five packets oral saline packed in a sac.

President of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries, former Vice-president of FBCCI and Member of BCSA Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu distributed relief goods among 400 flood-hit families at Nohali union parishad premises under Gangachara upazila.

District Muktijoddha Commander, Director of FBCCI and Member of BCSA Mosaddek Hossain Bablu and Senior Vice-president of RCCI Mostoba Hossain Ripon, Nohali union Chairman Abul Kalam Azad Titul, among others, attended the ceremony.

Besides, Director of Bharsha Group of Industries and BCSA Member Emdadul Haque Bharsha and former RCCI Director Fazlul Haque distributed relief among 200 flood-hit families at Shaheedbag union parisahd premises under Kawnia upazila.

Talking to BSS, Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu, also Managing Director of Motahar Group of Industries, said the relief goods were distributed among flood-hit people under Corporate Social Responsibility Programmes of BCSA to reduce their sufferings.
