“Mujib Borshe Shoto Ghonta Mujib Chorcha” programme launched

DHAKA, Aug 31, 2020 (BSS)- Meherpur district administration here has launched a programme titled “Mujib Borshe Shoto Ghonta Mujib Chorcha” (Practicing ideals of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for hundred hours in Mujib Year) through a virtual conference marking the 45th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

Prime Minister’s Energy, Power and Mineral Resources Adviser Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Bir Bikram inaugurated the programme on Sunday as chief guest, said a release here today.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain also addressed the program as special guest.

Under this activity, the local administration will hold discussion for 100 hours on different occasions until March, 2021 through virtual platform, where renowned historian, novelist, politician and Freedom Fighters, will talk about Bangabandhu’s life, politics and liberation war, among other issues.

Meherpur-2 lawmaker Shahiduzzaman Khokon, Divisional Commissioner Dr Md Anwar Hossain Hawlader, Superintendent of Police (SP) S M Murad Ali, District Awami League General Secretary MA Khaleque, Former Member of Parliament and Freedom Fighter Md Makbul Hossain, Public Prosecutor Pallab Bhattacharya, joint-general secretary of district Awami League Advocate Ebrahim Shahin, among others, addressed the inaugural ceremony while Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Mohammad Munsur Alam Khan was in chair.
