DHAKA, Aug 27, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) today conducted combing operation at different parts of the capital to destroy the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes.
During the drive, executive magistrates of the DSCC inspected a total of 104 establishments, filed around seven cases and realised Tk1.12 lakh as fines for having Aedes breeding grounds at houses and establishments.
The three mobile courts conducted drives in city’s Baily Road,Fakirapul, Arambagh and Shamibagh areas.
The mobile court inspected 39 establishments in zone-1. Executive Magistrate Mohammad Kazi Faisal filed three cases and realised Taka 45,000 as Aedes mosquito breeding grounds were found at three establishments.
The mobile court inspected 12 infrastructures in zone-2. During the drive, Aedes mosquito breeding grounds were found at two establishments and the mobile court fined them Taka 55,000.
The mobile court visited 53 establishments in Zone-5. At that time, the mobile court found Aedes mosquito breeding grounds at two establishments and filed two cases and fined them Taka 12,000.
Besides, the DSCC mobile court also warned seven owners of houses in zone-5 after finding Aedes mosquito breeding environment.
