BD chess team included in Pool A in WC Olympiad
DHAKA, Aug 10, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh team has been included in Pool ‘A’ of division 2 of FIDE Online World Chess Olympiad.
FIDE (World Chess Federation) has divided 50 teams of division 2 in 5 pools. A total of ten countries are in Pool ‘A’ of division 2 including Bangladesh.
The other nine countries of Pool ‘A’ are Philippines, Indonesia, Germany, Belarus, Belgium, Australia, Bulgaria, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The matches of Division ‘A’ will be held on August 14th, 15th and 16th. The event will be held in all play all (Round Robin) League system and top three teams will qualify for the top division.
