Govt committed to build ‘Sonar Bangla’: Palak

NATORE, Aug 2, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said
Digital Bangladesh is the modern form of ‘Sonar Bangla’ cherished by
Bangabandhu.

The government is determined to build Bangabandhu’s country with
full of peace and happiness through establishment of Digital
Bangladesh, he added.

The state minister was addressing a doa and discussion meeting at
Singra Upazila auditorium this afternoon at the initiative of Singra
Upazila and Municipal Awami League marking the mourning month.

Palak said, “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu had given us an
independent country. He showed us how to survive as a self-reliant
nation. If he had survived, the country would have established as
‘Sonar Bengal’ long ago.”

He said Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to change the
fate of the people. She is working not only for development but also
for good governance and disaster management, he added.

“We have to work to change fates and fortune of the toiling masses
bearing the ideology of Bangabandhu,” he said.

He urged the party leaders and workers to plant one lakh saplings
in Singra Upazila marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.

Among others, Upazila Awami League President Advocate Sheikh Md.
Ohidur Rahman and leaders of 12 unions of Awami League were present at
the program.
