75 arrested over drug consuming, trading in city
DHAKA, July 28, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in
separate anti-drug drives, arrested 75 people from different parts of
the city on charges of trading and taking drugs in the last 24 hours
as of 6am today.
During the operations, the police personnel recovered 3,096 Yaba
tablets, 172.290 grams of heroin, 1.52 kilograms of ganja, 51 bottles
of Phensedyl, 10 bottles of foreign wine and 120 bottles of can beer
from them, DMP sources said.
A total of 46 cases have been filed against the detainees with
respective police stations under the Narcotics Control Act.
