DNCC conducts anti-mosquito drives at city hospitals

DHAKA, July 23, 2020 (BSS) – The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has been conducting week-long anti-mosquito drives at city hospitals in its area as part of its mosquito eradication programme.

Earlier on July 18, the DNCC kicked off the week-long special programme to protect the patients, doctors, nurses and other paramedics in the COVID and non-COVID hospitals in the area from being infected with dengue.

The second phase mosquito elimination drive was conducted in 13 hospitals in the city including – Adhunik Hospital and Ahsania Mission Cancer under Uttara Region-1 and Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital under Mirpur Region-2, Badda General Hospital, Lions Eye Hospital, Ibn Sina Diagnostic and Consultation Centre, Labaid Diagnostic Centre, AMZ Hospital, National Heart Foundation Hospital, RH Step Hospital from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm today.

The DNCC authority will launch the third phase drive in a timely manner to protect the city dwellers from Aedes mosquitoes.
