56 held in anti-drug drive in capital
DHAKA, July 13, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has detained 56 people for selling and
consuming drugs during an anti-drug drive in the capital.
During the drive, DMP has also recovered 13 thousand 121 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets, 40 pieces of heroin, 70 grams of weed and 9 bottles of phensidyl from their possession.
DMP sources said the people were arrested from different areas in the capital during a drive, which started at 6:00 am on Sunday and continued till 6:00 am on Monday.
Thirty-four cases have been filed against the detainees under the Drug Control Act.
