11th episode of AL webinar on ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ Tuesday

DHAKA, July 12, 2020 (BSS) – The 11th episode of Bangladesh Awami League’s special webinar titled ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ will be held at 8.30 pm on Tuesday next.

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Barrister Shah Ali Farhad will moderate the 11th episode titled ‘Correct Flow of Information to Address the Corona Crisis’, said a release.

Information Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak, former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, Suchinta Foundation Chairman Prof Mohammad A Arafat, Ekattor Television’s Current Affairs Editor Mithila Farzana and Bangladesh Chhatra League General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee will take part in the webinar as discussants.

Like previous occasions, the webinar will be broadcast live on the AL’s official Facebook page www.facebook.com/awamileague.1949 and Youtube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/myalbd) while the viewers can ask their queries and suggest ideas through Facebook during the live session.

It will also be broadcast live on private television channel Bijoy TV and Facebook pages of Somoy TV, Daily Bhorer Kagoj, Ittefaq, Samakal, Jugantor, Sarabangla.net, bdnews24.com, Barta24.com, Banglanews24.com and Jagonews24.

Viewers can ask their queries and suggest ideas to the speakers during the live session through Facebook.

According to AL sources, this webinar’s primary goal is to know what general people, especially the youth, are thinking about government and party activities and measures taken to tackle the pandemic.

Earlier, ten episodes of ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ were broadcast live on the Awami League’s Facebook page.

The latest episode of Bangladesh Awami League’s special webinar titled ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ was held on July 7 where the discussants dwelt on the role of youth in fighting the COVID-19 crisis in the country.

The 9th episode was broadcasted on July 4 where the discussants spoke about the contributions of AL’s grassroots leaders during the deadly Corona crisis in Bangladesh.

The eighth episode, broadcasted on June 30, focused on the post-COVID-19 Bangladesh scenario and the need for skill-based education for a young generation who will not depend on jobs, rather a generation who can survive any pandemic and keep the economy up and running.

In the seventh episode, which was held on 27th June, LGRD Minister Tajul Islam MP and five city corporation mayors were connected online and they highlighted the local government’s role in ensuring public health safety.

The sixth episode held on 16th June discussed on budget 2020-21. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi MP and Planning Minister M A Mannan were among the discussants.

The fifth episode was broadcasted on 6th June where the speakers discussed steps and initiatives taken by the health sector during the pandemic.

The fourth episode, organized on June 2, talked about the roles and responsibilities of public representatives during the pandemic.

The third show was broadcasted on 30th May where the speakers discussed the reality and challenges in the wake of the resumption of economic activities in Bangladesh from 31st May.

The speakers agreed that both life and livelihood are needed in this global pandemic and people’s awareness and sense of responsibility will bear fruit in the long run.

In the second episode, which was held on 19th May, the speakers discussed on ‘Humanitarian Aid during COVID-19 Crisis’. Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader was connected through video conferencing.

Leaders of Awami League and its affiliated organizations such as Awami Jubo League, Bangladesh Krishak League, Swecchasebok League and Chhatra League were also connected in this episode.

The first show was held on 15th May with the topic ‘Public Awareness to Tackle Coronavirus’. In the episode, the speakers and viewers talked about how Digital Bangladesh is playing a major role in creating awareness among people to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
