Hasan mourns death of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra musician Mrinal
DHAKA, July 8, 2020 (BSS)- Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra musician and freedom fighter Mrinal Bhattacharya.
In a condolence message, the information minister recalled the contribution of Mrinal in the field of culture.
Mrinal was a musician, composer and music director and was respected as a guardian of the cultural arena in Chattragram.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mrinal Bhattacharya died at Chattogram Ma-o-Shishu Hospital in the early hours of today at the age of 78. He was suffering from various old-age complications including cardiac problem and diabetes.
He left behind his wife, a son, relatives and well- wishers to mourn his death.
