Cyclone victim Al-Amin gets house
BENAPOLE, July 2, 2020 (BSS) – Al-Amin, a homeless boy, who lost his home in cyclone Ampan, has got a house as part of the government rehabilitation efforts to mitigate sufferings of cyclone victims in Chaugachha upazila of Jashore district.
Major General (Retd) Prof Dr Nasir Uddin, MP, handed over the house to Al-Amin, one of the most cyclone affected families of the upazila.
On May 21, Alamin’s mother China Khatun, 45, and her younger sister Papia were killed when their house collapsed as cyclone Ampan hit the district. Al-Amin survived luckily despite their houses collapsed.
Later, under the direction of the MP NasirUddin, with the cooperation of Executive Officer Zahidul Islam and Chaugachha Upazila Chairman Dr. Mostanisur Rahman, Al-Amin was given a house with an allocation of Taka 2,99,000 from the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management.
