COVID-19 death toll in Netherlands rises by 5 to reach 5,967

THE HAGUE, June 2, 2020 (BSS/XINHUA) — The number of deaths from the novel coronavirus in The Netherlands increased by five to a total of 5,967, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) announced on Tuesday.

The daily death toll remains stable for a few days, with six and five reported deaths on Monday and Sunday respectively. Not all COVID-19 patients are tested, so the actual numbers in the Netherlands are higher than the numbers stated by the RIVM.

The number of persons testing positive for COVID-19 increased by 102 to a total of 46,647.
