Rangpur district administration issues public notification

RANGPUR, May 30, 2020 (BSS) – In the light of the coronavirus
situation and as per instructions of the government, the Deputy
Commissioner and District Magistrate of Rangpur Md. Asib Ahsan has
issued a new public notification.

The notification has been signed this afternoon said that in order
to prevent the spread of coronavirus and improve the situation, it has
been decided to restrict the overall activities and movement of people
from Sunday, May 31.

It will be effective in Rangpur district from May 31 to June 15.

As per the notification, the inter-district public movement from
Rangpur district and to other districts and between the all eight
upazilas in Rangpur will be strictly controlled.

Check posts will be set up at all entrances and exit points of the
district. Common people must stay indoors till the restrictions remain
effective and they cannot come out from 8 pm to 8 am unless absolutely
necessary, it said.

While going out on urgency or buying and selling in the hats,
bazaars and shops of Rangpur district, everyone must wear masks,
maintain social distance and abide by the other health directives and
rules.

The hats, bazaars, shops, shopping malls and other such business
centres must be closed by 4 pm. No educational institution can be kept
open during the restriction period.

All government, semi-government, autonomous and non-government
organizations will remain open to a limited extent under their own
management strictly following the health rules and 13-point guidelines
issued by the health department including wearing masks.

During the restriction period, public transport, passenger boats and
railways will be able to operate with a limited number of passengers
by ensuring abidance of the health directives.

No meetings, rallies, public gatherings and events can be arranged
in the district while performing prayers in mosques and other
religious places of worship will have to follow the proper health
rules.

Emergency services will remain exempted from the restrictions and
stringent legal actions will be taken against those who will violet
this order,” the notification added.
