DHAKA, April 28, 2020 (BSS) – National Professor and noted educationist Dr Jamilur Reza Choudhury was laid to eternal rest at the Banani graveyard in the city following Namaz-e-Janaza at Dhanmondi Eidgah Mosque after Zuhr prayers today.
Former adviser to a caretaker government Prof Jamilur Reza died of a heart attack early hours of today at his Dhanmondi residence here. He was 77.
He was the founding vice-chancellor (VC) of BRAC University and was also working as the VC of the University of Asia Pacific.
Ekushey Padak Awardee Prof Choudhury was an eminent civil engineer who graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
